Skycrappers, Inc.

It is mainly a district of tall offices, linked with pedestrian ways above the ground. It is well connected with buses, monorail, metro. Lots of convenience stores, restaurants.

Looking from afar, or from the passing Monorail (which stops here) you might not think there's much reason to go. But there's a really good brewery- restaurant, several good restaurants (including a pizzeria with almost- as- good- as- Napoli pizza), nice walks along the canal and across the bridge, a ball field which is often used by kids and families,... I think this place is not so suitable for the sightseeing, it's mainly for business, so you couldn't enjoy the trip. But the structure or buildings in this area are very organized so you can enjoy "Tokyo-nization".

I stayed at Toyoko Inn in Tennōzu Isle and really enjoyed the place. There is a park for people to stroll and walk their dogs, especially during good weather. There are also some cozy restaurants and beer house in the area. Around noon time, there are office people who have their lunch or a cup of coffee on the benches... More

Looks like an offices area with some hotels, and a 2 stations on monorail and rinkai line. Convenient place to put up at Shinagawa area.

Staying in Shinagawa / Gotanda

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinagawa / Gotanda
In Shinagawa, an office district shares space with luxury residential buildings and the scene is constantly changing with rapid development. Ikedayama park and Togoshi park are great places to see beautiful traditional Japanese gardens with ponds, as well as enjoy the changing seasons. Shinagawa was a post and a port town during the Edo era and the lavish old Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples at Shinagawa and Ebara are very popular. It's a great place to get in touch with the old Edo atmosphere on a pleasure boat cruising along the canal. The neighboring area around Gotanda station is a study in modern contrasts filled with unique restaurants and a lively nightlife.
