Fantastic honsen to rest. Great price and service from the welcoming staff.
Very good price too. 3-4 euros for the baths.
Highly recommended if you look for a honsen experience in Tokyo.

We were prompted immediately with "where do you come from?!" When we first came in. The staff isn't very nice or welcoming to foreigners. Nothing was in English and we paid the higher price for the outdoor baths which appear to have been accessible to anyone who entered including those who paid a fraction of what we paid. Towels were included but soap /shampoo etc was not. There are far better onsen in Tokyo if you aren't a local.

黒いお湯の温泉。そして、女子だけは岩盤浴ができる。いつも混んでいるので、慌ただしい感じがする。長居をするところもないので、お風呂上がりのビールは近くのバーへ行くとよい。 Spring is black color. Only women can do the bath on the hot stone. I feel busy because it's crowded always. I recommend to go to near bar after this, because it hasn't relaxing room

Highly recommended to go when you visit Tokyo. It’ very nice, traditional Japanese spa – that is a real Onsen in Tokyo. It takes a few Euros / dollars to one dip (but cash only), and Sauna is extra.
There are several bath tabs, inside and outside of building. Especially dipping outside bath day time is so good! There are a lot of local peoples, young and elderly, atmosphere is so nice! Staffs are very helpful and neat.
Even you do not understand Japanese AND no English speaker in place, as long as you know the way of Japanese bathing it is no problem. Just learn how to take bath beforehand - wash your all body and head BEFORE go into bathtub, take a bit shower to wash all your sweat off once you go out sauna.

This is the best onsen in my neighborhood, though there are a couple of other, smaller ones. This one is large, with two kinds of water, indoor and outdoor tubs and a friendly atmosphere. Japanese only, and you'll have the Granny Patrol eyeing you until they're sure you know what you're about, but then they are your buddies. This is a traditional, family-oriented place, I go there regularly, and I like it quite a lot.

The black water is honestly the best. It feels gelatinous and wierd but also amazing at the same time.

My wife and I have visited public hot springs in Korea (near Busan).
Is this a similar experience?
We are planning to go to Musashi-Koyama Onsen Shimizuyu yu on Friday May 3 in the afternoon. Is this time of day very crowded?
