Behind the church at the base of the castle this excavation shows how the Islamic settlement lived here before the Christians. At the entry is a reconstructed house then you can wAlk around the site. Some small but impressive mosaics.

Roman, islamic and medieval culture all have left remains in this archeological site. It is a nice dig site with some good interpretation and a site that is still being excavated. Some of it is best seen from the top of the castle looking down.

Can't complain as it was free admission and the tower gives great views. Staff were helpful. Worth a visit.
