There is a really interesting piece of history locked in this rather large site. You can read about this on other sites, but think right back more that two thousand years to the Phoenecians and Romans as well as the more recent Brits. It is...More

A beach in the backwoods of Portugal. A lovely facility close to the (main?) road, and popular with motorhomers as a stopover on the way down to the Algarve on the eastern side of The country. Handy for a quick trip over the border into...More

We really enjoyed this inland beach. It has warm water, nice scenery, a restaurant/bar and free parking. It is popular with families with small children. The only downside is the lack of good change facilities. The bathrooms were not well kept.

This is a delightful spot for swimming, canoeing or just sitting and chilling out. Picnic area and beach. Loos and drinks available and a short walk into town for something to eat if you don't bring your own

River beach. Nice contrast between green water and white sand. Hot water (at least in july). There’s a restaurant where you can have a meal on the shadow. There’re boats to rent. There’re are small islands in the middle of the river.
