Caribbean Spices and Sauces St. Maarten / St. Martin. Walking distance from Sonesta Great Bay Resort and Casino on the Dutch side of St. Maarten. Do not buy "Vanilla Extract" from "Ma Doudou". This is nothing but colored water. A tourist rip off!!!! Sold in almost every shop.

Wonderful beach, very many people with few swimming suits, if you get my drift. Nice places to eat, water was very nice.

We spent 2 weeks in sint marteen last month with my friends. I wanted to learn how to kite so I went to Wind Adventures and booked several lessons. First thing, I was really impressed by the team, they are really qualified and they re having a lot of fun playing around and joking with you! I was a little... More

I was on vacation in St. Martin last month. I signed up for a lesson at Wind Adventures based on the positive reviews here. I am an intermediate-level kiter, and I had an individual lesson with Toon. He gave me some good tips, and I was riding upwind comfortably by the end of the 2 hour session. Manu, the manager... More

We were on a Celebrity cruise and took the beach and lunch excursion from the ship. Orient beach is a very clean and exciting destination. My husband and I enjoy walking down the beach and the best beach area is on the nudist portion of the beach. The day we visited it was rougher on the family side of the... More

We utilized Vela windsurfing at Orient Bay for the rental of windsurfing gear and a Hobie cat sailboat. Monsieur Tom, who runs the operation, could not have been more informative or helpful. Tom is multi-lingual as well as being an expert sailor. His windsurfing gear is modern and in great condition (some of the beginner gear is older and clearly... More

Spent 1 week at Orient Beach and rented the "All I Can Do" package at Vela. Windsurfed 4 days. Conditions are great when it's windy - nice swell. The Vela staff was great - very helpful, especially in helping us get the equipment past the shorebreak for launching. Unfortunately, they really lacked decent gear since they were apparently awaiting a... More

We rented from Vela for five days in early December and were fortunate to experience contant winds above 20 knots. The wind at Orient Beach blows either on-shore or 45 degrees to the beach. In higher wind the surf break can be three to four foot high waves which make it difficult to launch. However, in those conditions the staff... More

My fiance and I had been wanting to take sailing lessons and we saw these nice Hobie Cats along the beach on Orient Bay. We walked into the beach shack next to them and we asked the person there if there was anybody who could give us some lessons. They said the shop was re-opening up next week for the... More
