If you visit the Imperial War Museum, Duxford this is another aircraft hanger type building that your ticket price includes entrance to. Modern building housing some enormous American planes.

It's fantastic how many aircraft are packed in to this space and one of them is the B52. You can walk among them. I was in there for about 1.5 hours.

Quickly - The American Air Museum is part of the Imperial War Museum (IWM) "Duxford" experience. However, it really can't be evaluated on its own as the IWM is a system. However, visitors will (hopefully) realize that the IWM thinks enough of it's Yank heritage...More

The title says it, a nice addition to the iwm collection and easy to access. The Blackbird is just awesome to see.

A wonderful memorial to remember all the Americans who came to assist Europe. Great exhibitions in a wonderful location.

In my opinion you could do both. The American Museum could be visited in 2 hours, with the rest of your time devoted to the other museums/attractions. The advantage is there are cafes/toilets at both sites. I personally... More
