We visited whilst the spectacular laburnum arch was in flower. Glorious views abound especially with the rhododendrons and azaleas in flower also. Over the years, Bodnant Gardens has been much extended to great advantage. The latest extensions, Furnace Meadow and Furnace Wood, afford beautiful views...More

Easy to find off the A55 well signposted. Disabled parking a bit of a problem for us as we need a flat rear access for a lift. Noticed on our way down some vans parked in coach parking, wish the people doing parking had suggested...More

Fantastic gardens, we never imagined they would be so big and so varied. The laburnam arch was in full bloom when we visited, fabulous. You need to be able to walk a reasonable distance up and down quite steep paths but well worth a visit....More

Bodnant gardens is a beautiful, varied and very interesting day out. The laburnum arch, Poem mausoleum and amazing collection of rhododendron and azaelia are just three of the endless list of pleasures here! Be sure to wear sturdy footwear as there is plenty of walking...More

We have waited a few years to return to Bodnant at just the right time to catch the arch at its best. Having visited a couple of days ago we were not disappointed as it was beautiful. The gardens always have something of interest and...More

We decided to go with a group of friends to Bodnant Gardens for a morning visit. I am not the greatest garden fan although I do enjoy a walk through well tended gardens. We arrived just as the rain cleared and were given maps of...More

We visited Bodnant on a gloriously sunny day when the garden was a blaze of colour that was truly sensational. We walked for a couple of hours taking photograph after photograph and admiring beautiful displays and stunning scenery. The gardeners must work around the clock...More

Fabulous garden and the newly opened Furnace Wood is well worth the climb to the top for the view of the Conwy valley. So much to see here, that you could see a different area each time you visit. The only downside was the food...More

Good afternoon. I'll be driving through Conwy on Sunday and was thinking of stopping at Bodnant on my route home. Do you know if the laburnum arch will be in bloom next weekend? Or am I just too early? Thanks

Hi, it would definitely be worth calling in. The Laburnum Arch is now showing colour but not yet in full flower. We're hoping by the middle of next week (w/c 22nd May) it will be giving a spectacular display.
