You can easily have too much of castles, but even if you never visit another one, the great Rocca Sforzesca is truly worth seeing. It is wonderfully preserved and you can explore the dank dungeons, stroll on the battlements and easily climb to the top of the highest tower. Children will love it - it is a place of fairy... More

TO SEE: the small village in Soncino, the beautiful and majestic Rocca Sforzesca, the basement, the mill and the Museum of printing. The entrance costs 5€, without guidance, following explanatory signs that there are along the route you can climb up the towers. The castle is bare inside but is well preserved. This castle is not on a hill, but rather on the edge of town surrounded by more modern buildings. Admission prices are very reasonable and are even discounted further in the middle of the week. We enjoyed our visit and especially liked climbing up the towers (it's nice that in the restoration they have improved a couple staircases with sturdy,... More

The castle was built around 1470 and is all brick. Inside is a little poor but worth seeing (the medieval bedroom is quite nice). Also you can see the whole village from the top. Inside are two museums that are ok. The ticket price includes entrance at museo del stampa and another small medieval situated near the cathedral. Some scenes... More

Single preserved castle that is to be found in the whole region. Definetely worth a visit when you are in the region of Brescia, be sure to check out the restaurant named 'La Cantina' in Soncino as well, you will enjoy your meal and your visit to this beautiful place!

The castle is only one part of this charming little town. The castle proper can be viewed in less Han an hour. I found the primary attraction to be how few people were here. There were two mid-sized school groups there on a Thursday morning, otherwise the place was very quiet. They are reworking the museum section as of this... More

It's a very beautiful castle. Soncino is a small town with still not explored by international tourism so this place is not overcrowded with throngs of tourists. In this place you can really the medieval atmosphere and the history of the Duke of Sforza. There are some city walls and a defensive channel near the castle too. It's definitely worth... More
