This is a wonderful place to visit as it has so much to see. There is Saint John's castle recently restored and Damer house which like the castle has so much interesting history. The guides are very nice and very well versed and to finish you can relax in the gardens behind behind the big house . Great spot.

The Guides are a credit to Damer House. The Art Expo that my friends at The White House told me to visit, was well worth it . Roscrea has so much to see. I Had heard about The Taste of Roscrea Festival at Christmas, it is quickly becoming the most talked about event in the Midlands, but this place is... More

I was visiting Roscrea to have a get together with my family. I was informed by a restaurant close by that it would be well worth a visit. The castle is beautiful and Daner house is a great tour. Eileen was amazing, the kids loved the tour.

Thanks to all the staff here as they gave great talks on the history of the castle and house. They were really great about answering questions and generally seemed passionate about the history here. Really interesting.

For a small fee we had a guided tour of the castle and he was very knowledgeable about the history of the building and the people who had inhabited it. Well worth a visit. This also included a short visit to the later house, that had once been a garret and then a school, where there is a display of... More

I'm not generally a supporter of the old walls but this castle which was built in the 14th century - really amazed me. Moreover, there is a beautiful garden. Small fee for admission. I recommend

Roscrea city it's a beautiful place with a medieval feel around the castle. The castle grounds contain the tower house at the entrance, an 18 century... More
