My communication with Lionel throughout the pre-ballooning day was superb. There were two balloons on this pristine morning. Our pilot spoke very little English, and so the commentary was minimal. However, the views spoke for themselves. The entire crew was efficient and polite. I would do it again in a heart beat. Oh yes, do spend some time in the... More

Lionel and his team treated a group of friends to a great flight. Truly professional, well prepared and easy to work with. The attention to detail inspired confidence and the flight was exceptional. A fantastic experience.

Lionel and his team are professionals. We were a family of six - Grandmother (68), two parents and three daughters (12, 10, 6). The team met us on a convenient location at a public parking lot, with two large SUV's carrying two balloons. We were asked to help them to inflate the balloons (a lovely experience for the kids), and... More

We found Montgolfiere having seen advertising in the area and got in touch with them via email. Lionel was very helpful with good English. Our reservations made we were given the expected warning that flights are whether permitting and he would make contact by email to confirm or postpone the next days flight. Sadly it took six days to achieve... More

Our pilot, Lionel, launched the balloon perfectly to fly over the chateaus at Beynac, Castelnaud, Feyrac, Les Milandes (Josephine Baker's chateau), Marqueyssac, and Montfort. What stunning views of chateaus, ancient stone manor houses, the Dordogne River, rocky cliffs, dense forests and verdant farm fields! It's a beautiful and dramatic way to see the region. We reached an altitude of between... More

Lionel always answered my email enquiries promptly and precisely. The organization of the flight was impeccable. We took off around 7 in the morning, the six of us in a large balloon rated for 9 passengers - very comfortable. It was a stunningly beautiful and clear day with just enough wind and just a few fog banks that quickly dissipated.... More

Thank you Lionel for an unforgettable experience! What better way to savour the beauty of the Dordogne than from the air. Communication was excellent and Lionel was very professional and engaging with my family of 5 (3 children under 12). A gentle take-off, flight and landing. Thank you again.

This is a fabulous 13th century castle where Richard the Lionhearted was once imprisoned. In recent times the film of Joan of Arc was filmed. Authentic castle situated in wonderful countryside with a fabulous village attached. Chocolat was filmed here too. Great tour and an excellent day out. If in this area do not miss it. You won't be sorry.
