We passed through the mahogany forest on our way from Chocolate Hills to Loboc River. I was impressed by the lush forest and was about to ask our driver about it when he told us that this is a man made forest planted around 30...More

Definitely far from completely natural, but impressive none the less. A marked departure from the landscape elsewhere on the island with tall, tall trees towering over the road. Learning about the origin of the forest from your guide, on-line, or in a guide book adds...More

I saw this on the way to the Chocolate Hills. Very pretty but could not fully appreciate it seeing it only from the van in transit.

magnificent forest formed by mother nature..The place itself makes you feel loving nature so much especially on the beauty of its formation. it's as if the trees were asked to bend altogether to form beauty and shade. Very magnificent place that you can take a...More

Driving through the Mahogany Forest on the road from Tagbilaran to Carmen offers a brief, shady and cool break in the otherwise "normal" scenery of the rural countryside. Although it does not have the diversity that would be found in a natural forest, it does...More

A unique line of mahogany trees aging to 50+ years old. A humid temperature once you enter the tree lined road. Truly unique to the eyes.
