We came near sunset to have dinner. We were seated overlooking the vineyards and with a great view of the Rhine and nearby town. Food was good, and the Chanterelle mushrooms must have been in season because they were amazing!

Wonderful location. Exquisite German Champagne called Sekt. Pleasant service. If you are lucky as we were a male choir singing local songs...good small local snacks...brilliant view...

We came here to purchase some of the excellent wine produced by Schloss Johannisberg. You pay for a tasting which is conducted in excellent English, but this money is deducted from any purchases you then make. The location is superb, and the restaurant looks good...More

Probably the most famous vineyard in the Rheingau. The wine tasting is for free if a purchase of bottles occurs. Interesting qualification of dry and sweeter wines. Knowledgeable staff and assistance in English. Recommended.

By car take route 42 follow the Rhein and in Winkle look up to the right and you'll see the Schloss. Its about 24 km By train, take the train from Wiesbaden to Oestrich -Winkel. 30 min trip along the river. Then walk , 3 km... More
