The kilim geopark tour is amazing. The staff are friendly. The scenery here both in the morning or during sunset were breathtaking.

AMAZING!

We booked the 2 hours trip which took us to the geo park, fish farm, the cave, eagle feeding and the crocodile tears. The best view was the geo park and eagle feeding. There weren't any crocodiles and nothing to see at the cave. The fish feeding was interesting. It is also a restaurant.
You can order fish to eat. The 2 hours trip cost Rm 180 at the mangrove place which is much cheaper than the other part of the coast

Refreshing Place

A good escape with the hustle bustle of the city. The park connects you with mother nature and wildlife at the same time. Not that much adventure kind of thing but somehow you will feel the excitement.

They mangrove tour feed eagle with chicken skin, how is this sustainable and healthy for the sustainable development. The officer at the kilim museum is very friendly even if his fact is a bit lacking he is giving his best to answer the questions. How can nobody clean the abandoned boat in the mangrove boardwalk. Its not supposed to be abandoned here where the mangrove boardwalk is small but it represent the kilim management.

Beautiful UNESCO Geopark

We rented a boat via our hotel Ritz Carlton for the whole day (Yachts are fully booked for the Medeka weekend!) We were not sure how long the kids would last out at sea anyway. We did not want to be too ambitious. So we decided to pace ourselves, did a mangrove tour- explored the Bat Cave- (doable with young kids) nobody got sea sick. It rained for a while but the waves were manageable. Plenty of monkeys - be careful if you bring food- snacks/ peanuts/ bananas. Yes, you may feed them but keep your distance. Monkeys would swim and climb on the boat for them. The guide showed us a puffer fish, we touched a leopard shark. Kids had a ball!

One of the best kayaking experience I’ve had. Trip with a visit to bat caves and kayaking through the mangrove forest as well as viewing eagle site.

Boat trip through the mangroves and more.

We drove to Tanjung Rhu,on Langkawi Island, where we hired a boat with driver to take us through the Mangroves and the Geoforest Park. Lots to see along the way, monkeys, Moniter Lizards, Eagles and a stop at the fish farm.

The boat ride was smooth also entering a cave then further on entering open water to take a photo of the Kilim Geoforest sign. All up trip took over 2 hours . Would love to do this again.

A memorable trip
Sep 2019
Kilim Geoforest Park is a must visit boat trip from mainland in Langkawi. The visit through the mangroves, eagle and monkey feeding, Fish farm where stingrays and variety of fishes are fed and bred makes it an unforgetable trip.
