No plastic or other trash was visible as I walked the lenght of the beach. The sand felt soft under my bare feet and oil spils were not frequent. The muddy water, same colour as the huge jellyfish doesn't invite to swim. Several budget restaurants line the area and start serving food at four o'clock.

Lovely stretch of fine soft sand which was fairly clean. Lots of cafes but only 3 selling alcohol along the whole stretch of beach. This was very disappointing as a foreign visitor and only half a dozen places to buy drinks in the whole resort.
The “Langkawi” sign has been removed from the south end of the beach and there is a large construction site in the making. This was noisy all day and is likely to be there for years as they are building three large towers. This will certainly change the views.
Sea was cloudy and overall the resort is scruffy and seems to be in a transitional phase which will probably ruin the original charm.
Glad I visited but probably won’t return.

I was surprised at the cleanliness of Cenang Beach despite so many visitors to this site. The sand is so white and fine. And it's a very happening place esp at night. A must go beach area. My kids loved it.

Well-kept beach and soft sands offering many water activities. Diverse selection of food from stalls and restaurant. Chenang is a busy area during holiday.

Cenang could be a beautiful pristine white beach however: they lack cleaning services for the beach and the main street parallel to the beach. Jet skis and their trailers are all over the beach. The owners of these sport services do not even consider moving the trailers up into the dry sand. It is an obstacle course if you want to walk the beach.
Also, if you visit this beach during New Year, you will see a lot of trash everywhere for the lack of capacity to clean properly the beach. I attached some pictures of the street trash.
The only quiet and clean area to be is all the way to the right (airport direction) where there are 2 luxurious hotels that do not allow jet skis parked in front of them and that they clean the beach themselves.

If Langkawi is one of the most touristic places in Malaysia, they should invest more in cleaning and maintenance. This is the situation with just 5M tourists this year. I can imagine how dirty can it be with Pre-Covid numbers of 20M.

Authority do something or foreigners will stop coming.

Absolutely love the powdery sand there and the sunset view is superb. There are long straight of shops along the road to do your shopping. You can find lots of activity agent to book your activities, is cheaper then online booking.

Watersports, beach games, beach bars, hotel by the beach, seashells lining the beach for your picking, these are not the only attraction.
If you loves sunset (not during monsoon season), you can watch it here and on a good day, it will be spectacular. It's golden rays fills the sea and shells on the beach.
A surprise attraction was the "beach buskers". They performed some incredible stunts with flaming baton, flaming balls and flaming cannon. This was just after sunset.

Nice clean beach. Near white sand. Tide not very high so you can swim in the ocean. Plenty of restaurants on the beach stretch as well as the road adjacent. Worth trying are Kalut Bar, Artisans Pizza and Viva Italia. Lots of companies providing water sports activities like jet ski, banana boat, UFO boat, parasailing, sunset cruise etc. Do bargain to near half the printed price.

Nice colour sand, firm wide beach which is easy to walk on, not too overcrowded, good for sunsets, nice to sit back and people watch, water sports available.
Not the nicest ocean, jelly fish and not clear water. Majority of places don’t sell alcohol, we’ve been here a couple of days and probably spotted 10 in the length of the strip. Limited beds on the beach, £2 each for the day.
Some parts are not the cleanest. Things don’t have to be new and modern to be clean, but I’ve been disappointed numerous times.
Not seen any massages on the beach, but plenty of shops in the road behind, 60 minute foot massage approx 60 MR which is £11 ish, body massages slightly higher.
Scooter hire requires a driving license and costs £7 per day approx. Use cash for fuel not foreign bank card to avoid pre authorisation charge being taken.
Fire show on the beach was excellent.
Subway, Starbucks, Pizza Hut, McDonald’s deserts all in the centre.
Had a nice enough time, but just missing the wow factor for me.

This beach is alright although I've definitely seen better. I didn't even bother to swim here as the weather was not perfect when I was there with rain. It's worth going down for the sunset and then to watch the fireshows though. There is some cheap restaurants right on the beach. Look for Mr Mango 89 it's got good cheap fish deals.
