After visiting Langkawi for over 30 years, I have seen this beach go from beautiful to over-crowded and then now with Covid, back to beautiful. I wish the government would put a stop to the development around here so that the beach will not be overcrowded. But this place still attracts general tourists.

This one of main attractions of Langkawi Island. It is about 3 kilometres long with white sand and some palm trees at the northern end. The sunset views are very beautiful. Behind this beach are many hotels and chalets and rest houses. Very peaceful when l was there recently as the pandemic bites.

Located in the busiest town of Langkawi. Compared to other beautiful beaches in Langkawi, people tend to visit here since there are many shops and restaurants located in this area. At the same time, this is a great place to have a walk and enjoy the beautiful sunset view in the evening.

I keep coming back to Cenang for holidays year after year! Its a perfect place to charge my batteries and log off from stressful city life. Local people are friendly and not pushy like in some areas in Thailand or Bali. The parking beside the road is a mess, but who is in hurry anyway when on holiday. :)

Pantai Cenang is the busiest beach town on Langkawi Island, where you can find a diverse mix of cafes and restaurants, as well as souvenir shops, and duty-free outlets along its picturesque beach strip. Just a 10-minute drive from Langkawi International Airport, it’s a popular holiday destination for travelling families thanks to its kid-friendly attractions such as Underwater World Langkawi, Rice Garden Museum, and Kiki Club at Meritus Pelangi Resort & Spa.

Featuring white sands and clear waters, Pantai Cenang’s expansive beach is also great for sunbathing and exciting water sports such as jet skiing and parasailing. High-end resorts, chalets and budget hotels with views of the Andaman Sea are aplenty here, attracting throngs of locals, expats, backpackers, and foreign tourists. Pantai Cenang’s nightlife scene is the liveliest on Langkawi Island, with plenty of beachfront bars and lounges offering inexpensive alcohol and snacks, as well as live music and cultural performances until late.

There are jellyfishes here. It is so sad this is the case as the beach is clean and sand is super soft.

Long and wide beach. Ok if you're on a budget and looking for action but otherwise I'd recommend to explore the smaller and much nicer reas of the island. This is comparable to any spanish beach place. Not really what I'm looking for in Asia. Oh and there's jellyfish throughout the year. So be careful!

Cenang Beach is a long unremarkable stretch of beach surrounded by restaurants and shopping. Popular spot for tourists.

It's cmco, please ensure that you follow ALL precautions to halt the spread of Covid-19 thank you.

Cenang beach is usually hell for us Malaysians. It's full of tourists usually and jam packed with human beings. Since March, the beach is empty, it's peaceful, it's clean. Come if you're 100% covid free. Don't trash this place, keep it clean, appreciate this quiet beach that's not going to be quiet anytime soon in the future.

Warning⚠ Do not swim or play in the sea if red flag is planted on the beach. Monsoon season is coming.
