I travelled to Mallyan Spout with my wife and a 5 year old daughter. Had my daughter been any smaller the steep and slippery path would not have been suitable for her. Nonetheless we all enjoyed our 20 odd minute walk to the tiny waterfall. Sports shoes / Trek shoes are a must. This spot is not suitable for families... More

Great place for a short walk with a waterfall, we've been there twice now once is autumn and now in spring! Lovely place with great scenery which for us is only 1 1/2 hours away will be taking rest of the family there hopefully this summer!

Very challenging walk not for the faint hearted, it was absolutely peeing it down so making it hard work at the bottom clambering over rocks to reach the spout , beautiful sight to see after the rain.

A usual stopping place after our long walks across the moors. Service here is always extremely friendly and efficient with nicely presented and satisfying food. We have never booked a room here but do intend to one day. Perhaps when we return again.

Lovely circular walk along the river and to the spout, steep in places you need to be fit to access this

So pleased we came upon this waterfall during one of our walks as part of our recent visit to the area - So pleased we carried on a clambered the last 100yards or so to discover the views

Lovely spot and well worth a visit. Do wear suitable shoes though as access can be muddy and very rocky so not suitable for all.

This is a lovely little spot. The walk along the riverside through the wooded banks requires a little care and a bit of adventure in places. This is because there is a section where you have to walk over rock steps and around rock boulders - which can be slippery and muddy in winter or after rain. Just take care.... More

The hotel nicely decoated and spotlessly clean with a helpful staff (especially a young lady called Amy) Breakfast was good however the Dinner Menu was poor, mainly packaged hotel food with little choice, did not change. No local fresh fish or game which is in abundance in this area. The chef could do better.

Started our walk by having coffee and scones in the hotel restroom, lucky enough that we were able to park in hotel car park as the designated parking area is a long way from the path down to the falls. Path was wet due to the rain and was challenging in places particularly once near to falls as large boulders... More
