I had planned to visit Radstock Museum for some time and was not disappointed when I made my visit. It gives you a detailed insight into the Coal Industry which thrived in the area along with the associated footwear industry and the canal and rail links. It is well worth a visit.

I visited the museum in the hope I would learn some of the local history of Radstock and the surrounding villages, and I wasn't disappointed. For such a little museum there's plenty to interest, and the volunteers are friendly and welcoming.

This a local museum for North east Somerset, but with a particular focus on the Somerset coal mining industry and, to a lesser extent, the railway truck manufacturing industry that grew up to support it. Staff are enthusiastic and keen to identify highlights. There are also displays about the local railways (Radstock was where the Somerset & Dorset crossed the... More

I've been going to Radstock since the late 70's but there was still a lot about the area it turned out I didn't know. Nice little museum well worth a visit.

This is a private museum and well worth a visit. It gives history of coal mining, railways and education in the North Somerset Coalfield area. Very friendly, knowledgeable staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will go again.
