This historic town is a joy to see. The town centre is a fine example of French medieval design with large colonnades which house cafes, restaurants, bars and shops. The market on a Monday morning is worth seeing during the rest of the week there...More

Mirepoix breaths the French culture. It is beautiful, well maintained and a lovely relaxed town to visit. I especially love the market on a Monday where there is lots of food, music, crafts and after many places to sit and enjoy a coffee.

We stayed 5km out of Mirepoix and found this small stunning medieval town to be a great place to shop and eat whilst exploring the Midi Pyrenees, Ariege and Aude regions. The town itself is well worth a visit simply for its stunning central market...More
