We stopped in cucugnan for two nights over Easter and the first thing you spot coming towards the town is this beautiful windmill overlooking the town. They grind their own flour and make the most lovely biscuits in the bakery below. Great way to spend...More

In Cucugnan, we walked uphill to see and photograph the windmill, Moulin d'Omer. Unfortunately, that was all we could do. Apparently, it's a working windmill, and you can buy flour ground there. None of this was evident when we visited it. If you're in Cucugnan,...More

Still in use, this windmill provides flour for the neighbouring bakery. We couldn't climb up inside but it is what it says on the tin: a windmill. And it works. It also reminded me of Camberwick Green, hence four stars.

It is just an old windmill. But the short walk to the top of Cucugnan gives a nice view and abuts on the windmill. I may missed the historical significance of the windmill.
