They will help you with anything you need or any question you have and make good suggestions.I also enjoyed knowing more about the dogs and how they work during the winter.Great spot for hiking in this beautiful area. The place itself is very clean and relaxing.

Entre chien et loup was by far our best dog sledding experience! The whole team made us feel welcome and comfortable from the get go. Upon arrival they recommended we borrow some extra winter gear to make sure we stay comfortable. That was so thoughtful and very appreciated! The instructions were clear and we loved meeting the dogs, they are so friendly and well trained! We had a beautiful stroll in the forest and felt very safe and confident the whole way through thanks to our excellent guide Vanessa. The views are absolutely gorgeous and the whole activity so much fun! It flew by really fast! They invited us to stay a little longer and participate in removing the harnesses, feeding and petting the beautiful dogs! We had the most wonderful time and highly recommend this activity!!! ❤️ Thank you so much!!!

Amazing experience mushing with these loving, friendly and well trained Alaskan Malamutes of the fantastic owners Vanessa and Goulwen at Entre Chien et Loup. Other dog sledding places were closer in distance but after searching for a dog sled place and finding their website and then a phone call with Goulwen (speaks English) we knew this place was different!
These owners consider theses animals their babies and it is very evident in the manner in which they treat their dogs and the attention the dogs pay them. A few commands spoken and the teams knew which way to go and what to do. The dogs housing area was clean and well cared. These dogs were so happy and able to interact with each other and all of us enjoying this awesome experience. The scenery was breathtaking, through forests, open ranges, across bridges, frozen pond - a splendid 2 hr time in the snow with these wonderful pups!
Scout, Tibet, Taiga, Doug, Timber and so many others....an experience my wife and I will never forget. Goulwen and Vanessa were so accommodating with warm attire, detailed instructions and a great friendly atmosphere from the time we drove up. The dog lovers we are, it was amazing to see the special relationship between these dogs and their owners. We are so happy with this choice and enjoyed the beautiful 1+ hr drive it took to arrive at their farm from our hotel in La Malbaie. Small drive to make considering we are all the way from Alabama, USA!!!
Hope the photos reflect all we have shared.
Highly recommend!

It was a full day trip with 5 friends and it was absolutly fabulous ! Between the lake and the small paths under the trees, landscapes are gorgeous ! Everybody was so friendly (special thanks to our guides Nicolas and Antoine \ o /) and professional. The dogs are incredibly kind and you don't have to be the award winning dogdledder of the year to enjoy this ! Once the alchemy with your team is set, just enjoy the ride. And after a hard day, we helped in serving a feast to our loyal minions (mwahahaha) ... sorry ... to the dogs. Well, it truly is worth it, we enjoyed it so much and recommend it 12 out of 10 ! Thanks again Vanessa !

We did a two-hour session here and absolutely loved it. We met the owners, Vanessa and Gu, who were both extremely friendly and kind. This is a small, family-owned business, and you can tell that both Vanessa and Gu take a lot of pride in their work and are very happy doing what they do. Gu took us out for our session and we had a blast. He was really knowledgeable about the area, the dogs, and more, and we really enjoyed not only the trip itself, but getting to know about them and their business. You get to interact with the dogs before and after your session and they are so friendly and well-trained! They provide cold weather gear in case yours won't be adequate- this was a lifesaver for us as our boots definitely wouldn't have kept us warm enough. They were accommodating on short notice, and speaking English isn't a problem, but I would definitely call ahead. They also have a few rooms to rent on the property, and if I ever went back, I would definitely consider staying there, as the impression I got was that it was personal and cozy, with a chef and all. This was truly the highlight of our 7-day stay in this area, so much so that we would go back to do a longer expedition. Very highly recommended!

we were so lucky, I had mixed up the dates & not really confirmed but Vanessa was nevertheless willing to take us along.
the trip across the forest, a frozen river with snow slowly falling was the best! seeing the dogs run before you, hearing the ones behind you is a great experience, we all loved it!
helping before & after with the dogs is also a very good idea & the kids, especially the girls were sad to have to leave.
it was really the top of our canadian road trip!

We arrived at night and were greeted by Nicolas and Agnès with a great dinner and some wine. The following day, we had crepes for breakfast and were given any equipment we didn't have. Then, we met the amazing dogs, whom I can't say enough about. All with such personality between each other and the people around them. We started the two day dog sledding expedition and reached the campsite by dusk. Agnes was an unbelievable guide who knew all the ins and outs of not only dog sledding, but also the animals themselves. We had a nice dinner in the campsite after having fed the dogs. Agnes was so nice! She made sure to wake up every 2 hours during the night to keep the fire going in order to keep the teepee warm. We woke up to her preparing us breakfast and then began the trip home! It was great that we took a different way back to be able to witness even more beautiful sites. Overall, it was a truly wonderful experience and I would recommend it for anyone who loves the outdoors and seeks adventure. I'd highly suggest being matched up with Agnes as she was truly a wonderful guide.

Our family of five did the half-day session on New Year's Eve morning.

There are a lot of Quebec dog sledding options and I'm pretty sure I looked at them all. I visited websites, read reviews, got recommendations from hotel concierges, and emailed / called the businesses. In the end, we chose Goulwen and Vanessa's Entre Chien et loup, even though it meant driving four hours round trip. Here's why you should choose Entre Chien et loup, too.

The dogs are magnificent. Clearly they are well cared for by a couple who understand the Alaskan Malamute's temperament. The dogs have gorgeous coats, bright eyes, and tons of energy. When you approach them in the enclosed areas, they are playful and gentle. As soon as they are attached to the sled line, they are eager to run for hours. Goulwen led our group with a quiet authority, and the dogs, while spirited, did whatever he instructed.

I know some dog sledding operations are at the base of ski resorts, or are in populated areas. Not Entre Chien et loup. You will feel like you are completely off the grid. For hours we enjoyed unspoiled Canadian wilderness. It was exhilarating.

Goulwen did an excellent job of explaining how to drive the sled. (He is French, we are American, and he joyfully spoke English.) The youngest in our group was 13 years old, and she was able to drive the sled under Goulwen's guidance with no problem.

Afterward, we stayed to eat a leisurely lunch (thank you Nicholas!). Then we spent time with the dogs a bit more, including holding the puppies, before getting back on the road. At no time did we feel rushed, even though afternoon groups were arriving and embarking on their excursions.

We loved every minute and hope to return for a multi-day expedition.

We stayed 3 days (december 2015) at the gîte (la grangette), Nicolas the cook, took really good care of us, warm and casual place.
Each morning we walked the dogs with Vanessa, Agnès or Goulwen in the surrounding woods, great moment to bound and see the dogs interact.
We went dog sledding with Goulwen for the day, we stopped at a mountain shelter for lunch, it was amazing! landscape was beautiful, we were alone in the Canadian wilderness. We had the opportunity to care for the dogs (harness them, drive them, feed them at nightfall).
Equipment was in very good shape and very useful (temperature -15°C).
Next day we went on snowshoeing with Sam, a great guide, who shared with us his knowledge of trees, plants and First Nation medicinal knowledge.
The team was very friendly and welcoming, thanks Agnes for the company!!
We want to go back to experience the 2-5 days expedition.

We went for the 4-5 days expedition, guided by Goulwen.
Landscapes were wonderfully beautiful and impressive, proximity to the nature was a must and the dogs were so kind and well raised. We could tell the dogs were very well taken care and loved.
Weather was cold but with all the extra clothing provided by Plein Air de l'Anse, we were never cold. And not to forget, food was excellent at every single meal!!!! Crepes, chocolate cake, beef bourguignon. A deleece!!
Very professional guide. We definitely recommend this place.
