Went there with my kids by cold weather. We stayed almost 1.5h in the hot water, relaxing our foot and mind. We met there a band of nice young local people to discuss with. Was really nice, we enjoyed.

The hotel is a bit old and majority of the guests are senior citizens. Very authentic Japanese experience for me. Rooms have no air conditioning. We felt warm as we stayed July.

We stayed here a couple of nights as a base to explore this part of Akan national park. Whilst the countryside around the town is amazing, Kawayu Onsen itself is nothing special. The foot spa in town was nicely done and the Eco centre is...More
