Stayed early February 2017 for 5 enjoyable nights at the Rusutsu Resort. Ideal snow conditions and a relatively small number of skiers on-mountains made for ideal and relaxing rides. The small West Mountain was a great way to warm up the riding skills, though I preferred taking the gondola to the East and Isola mountains for the longer and more... More

I skied there for 3 days (Feb. 8th ~ 10th). Around noon time during the 2nd day (Feb. 9th), one of my skis was broken (out of order) and I just couldn't fit my boot in. I was in the East Mount base station then. Thus I have to return to the nearest rental office for repair or exchange, which... More

We had 5 days on the slopes Rusutsu and loved them all. It did snow every day at some point with one day we had a good amount and cutting through the trees we were almost thigh deep in the powder. We were staying on the Resort side and started our day on the West mountain to find our feet... More

Excellent instructors. Thanks to Marc from Canada, Cloda from NZ, Mark from UK, and Stephanie. Both my kids and my husband as well skied much better. Not inly did they improve, all of us were able to enjoy the slopes. Lots of slopes of different levels. Good snow.

The soft powder, stunning views, and incredible crew make Rusutsu Resort the perfect place to ski. The resort offers multiple trails and super professional ski instructors, so whether you are an entire beginner or a pro, you'll find this a skiing paradise. What impressed us most was the ski instructors here. This was the first time for my family to... More

Rusutsu resort is very good snow quality in hoikkaido and west mountain, east mountain and Isola mountain all can connected with gondola and lifts. Mountain Isola is famous for multiple runs with intermediate to advanced level slopes. This is a very good area as it is not so windy compared to niseko and you can enjoy good visibility with dry... This was our second time here and although during our stay heard comments about low snow and tracked out, this again was not our experience. 90% untracked everyday usually at least boot deep a third knee deep and two days of thigh deep. The youngest was a very competent 9year old on his first tree skiing adventure he coped easily... More

Not a massive resort but the snow and the tree skiing makes up for it! Great lift infrastructure and not too crowded.

Great place to ski or snowboard. It was not crowded at all and the snow is groomed nicely. Will go again.

We came here as part of the guided snowboarding trip that explored multiple resorts. We visited Niseko, Rusutsu and Kiroro. Rusutsu is a wonderful, authentic Japanese, resort, with great groomed and off piste runs. The Rusutsu Ski and Snowboard school provided the resort guides to take us through the resort and the experience has been wonderful. English speaking guides (actually... More
