nice for a short walk from Shibu Onsen

If you have seen temples elsewhere in Japan this is not impressive. However it is nice walk to visit the row of small temples along the hillside of Shibu Onsen.

This is a traditional style temple that is located within the Shibu Onsen area just north of Yamanouchi and is worth a brief visit if you are strolling the narrow streets there.

There is nothing particularly spectacular or noteworthy about this temple, but it complements the village of Shibu Onsen perfectly with its peaceful grounds. If you're doing a walk around town, it's worth wandering through here.

This temple located right at the exit of the shibu onsen area is really something to see I think. It has wonderful ornements all over and a very impressive graveyard on the side. The atmosphere is very calm and you get impressed by the majesty of this old place.
