They are proffesionals
Oct 2019 • Family
You will not need, or be able, to be there for too long, but the time spend is well spend. They are really proffesionals and the atraction is entertaining. Recomand to stop on the way to sounkyo

Interesting place with very friendly staff.
Dec 2018 • Family
It was a 20min walk from Kamikawa JR Station but the walk was very pleasant. When we arrived at he Ice Pavilion, we were the only visitors there as it was -15°C that day. The staff at the ticketing booth was super- friendly and spoke some English. There was some colouring activity for the family before we were led to the entrance of this giant freezer. Having just got out of -15°C, -20°C still felt cold. The walk through the ice labyrinths was most interesting as there was icemen, as opposed to snowmen, ice globes and fantastic ice stalactites and stalagmites. At the end of the walk is area where you activate a fan to simulate -41°C . It was really cold. Gloves is a must inside. Great place! Hot tea was served at the exit for visitors and it was most welcomed. The seniors running the gift shop and snack bar were really friendly.

Experience the chill
Jul 2018 • Family
Interesting museum where there is quite a large area where they have cooled to -20 degrees. It's super cold even though they provide jackets and gloves. There is a special room where you can activate a -41 degree blizzard. Quite an experience especially for people who come from warmer countries. Service is great and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Jun 2018 • Family
Its quite interesting for me as its shows of people lives in ice cave … entering you need to go thru a maze of mirrors .. could be lost but there's 2 ways .. yes, its freezing cold inside though its only a small cave short distance; in the mid way, there's a room to rest from freezing temp …

Nice little icy palace
Apr 2018 • Friends
When we arrived here, there was no one else and we were the only visitors. Hence we could unleash our inner Elsa inside the attraction.

The place is not big but you can spend probably near an hour or so there. They do provide jackets and gloves so you don't have to worry about not have the necessary gears during the hotter season.

Most of the things inside are just sculptures and little igloos. There are also experience zone for people to experience -40 degrees temperature. Other than that, there isn't much things to do inside.

Good. Better than average.

We went there on sunday and we are the only visitor. The staff gave a brief description before we enter. Jacket and glove will be provided. Is a small pavilion, is freezing. Is ok to visit for the first time. Good experience. Feel the coldness, touch the ice, see the diamond dust. Upon exiting, we were given hot tea and a pc of cookie. Staff are friendly.

Nice festival and worth to visit
Feb 2018 • Family
The size of the festival is quite optimal that you could finish all the checkpoints in 1.5 hour. This festival also last very long that you may even visit it from January to March. The only defect would be the weather that you have to take enough cloth. I visited it at night in February and it was -15 degree at that moment.

A waste of time & money
Nov 2017 • Family
Sorry to say this, but I am totally not impressed by this Ice Pavilion. The activities are rather boring and there wasn't much display or anything interesting to begin with. If you have been to Okhotsk sea ice museum, you can totally skip this! There wasn't even a spot in it that worth for photo taking.

'Cold Experience'
Jul 2017 • Couples
Glad to come here from hot country to experience what winter in Hokkaido is like. The staff provides us with jackets and gloves to keep us warm while in the -20'C icicles chamber. Glad I made it out in one piece.
