A disappointed trip. There is no sea of yellow flowers in bloom yet. There is suppose to be the flower festival from 14 Jul to 19 Aug 2018. Highly unlikely there will be flowers this weekend as well.

The 1+ hour drive from Furano was pleasant and definitely worth the trip. You will be awed by the sight of 1.5 million sunflowers smiling to you. It was an once in a life time experience you would not want to miss.

It a long way to go Himawari no Sato (Sunflower Village). Indeed, the buses to Hokuryu-cho do not run frequently. So, you had better make carefully your schedule. The best season is the beginning of August. On the day we visited there, it was unfortunately...More
