Goryu is a famous ski course and very popular at Hakuba. Free shuttle bus can take you there from Echoland, Happo-one and Hakuba Station. You can also access from Goryu to Hakuba 47! It's suitable for all age skiers!

Fantastic ski runs, large long runs. excellent lift connections so you can ski across the top of the mountains all day without having to go down. My only issue is there are only a few, tired looking amenities for food and drink. Some great little bars and restaurants on the front slope though.

My family and I have visited a number of the ski resorts in the Hakuba area and Hakuba Goryu is by far the best. The staff are always friendly and efficient. The slopes cater for all levels of skier and snow boarder. The lifts and equipment are the best we have experienced in the area. It was also great to... More

The best of the hakuba valley, particularly as it's connected to 47. They have the longest run even when the snow is at its lowest! There's plenty of moguls, red runs and blacks runs. Great for a weekend!

We are beginner skiiers and snowboarders and this was our favourite resort. It had lots of beginner run open even with smaller amount of snow they have had so far this season. Cheaper rental around the resort of gear and better cheaper optiona for lift tickets and classes. Waaayy better views at the top of the mountain too...incredible

Skied for 3 days over New Years with family and 2 older friends. Snow was thin at lower elevations due to warm weather, but higher fields were excellent and varied. We were sad to leave. Beautiful scenery. Even New Year's crowds were not overwhelming. At the worst, lift lines were 15 minutes. Only complaint is that they need more English... More

Just snowboarded for 3 days at Goryu. The one lift ticket gives you access to Hakuba 47, Goryu, and Iimori. Got lucky as the 28-30 Dec were the best days for skiing as all 3 ski hills are only partially open. First day we did 47. Had 3 beginners and found that Goryu was best for them. Goryu has beginners... More

A general confusion as the Goryu side has 2 popular ski slopes.. Imori and Escal. Escal has more outlets and is a much better place to ski and hang out than Imori.. Escal also has a connection to Hakuba 47 which offer different slopes for different levels. The connection is higher up the mountain.. nonetheless very late December seems to... More

After only boarding once before, Goryu's long green run was fantastic to get up to speed. It also has quick access to Hakuba 47 via gondola and chair lift and Imori through a short walk through the trees. The ski lift is fast and the snow good.
