Try this for some variety

If you are staying at Happo or Hakuba try this resort for some variety in skiing. The mountain contours here make for some interesting terrain.

You must ski here! Goryu, Imori and Hakuba 47 are all connected so you can spend the entire day here without skiing the same run twice. Large Snow park with jumps on the 47 side. Green kids runs with small jumps and Mos burger at Imori. Good food court at Goryu. Great views of the Hakuba Valley and photo opportunities.... More

Big mountain that is actually a combo of two ski resorts. Nice runs and the night skiing is priced very competitively and not crowded. Ask around for coupons at resorts or look online to make your ski experience even cheaper.

Had beginners as well as advanced riders with us. This resort met all our needs. The subway in the foyer was an excellent treat as well!

The resort has night gondolas which take you up the mountain. Once up the mountain looking up at the stars in the peaceful atmosphere was a wonderful experience. Would strongly recommend it. Pls check before hand, it does not run on all days.

Goryu is to the far right of the Hakuba ski range so takes a little longer to get round to from Wadona but note a tedious ride. Walk about a minute to the ticket office and gondola from the bus stop. This resort will definitely suit beginnings with very long gentle slopes so great for kids. I was there January... More

Yes, snow was fantastic and one of the best in the world. Slops are nice, not too big or too small and well maintained. Lifts were not too crowded. Skiers are from all ages and mostly locals. Chalets and hotels are expensive like everything is in Japan. But after done skiing, there is literally nothing to do. Not sure id... More

Even though it was late in the worst season they've had in 50 years there was still plenty of rideable terrain and a great vibe with heaps happening at the resort

Great ski area for families. Excellent free shuttle bus service between ski areas and accommodation. Our group beginner to good intermediate. Interconnected areas. Great snow. February and no lift queues even on weekend when Tokyo residents and kids doing sport on the fields. Plenty of places to eat including some querky cafe's.
