Visited this place on one afternoon in March with the family. After paying for the entrance fee and upon entering the compound, the entire place was deserted with no clear signs and directions. We hardly see anyone in the entire place and even the few people we saw displayed little interest in guiding us with the culture and place. An... More

The init entry isn't bad, but at every turn there is something to do that costs more money. The Yomitan Nature School in the back was our highlight. 7 kids ages 10 and under loved the tree houses, swings, rope ladders and slides

It is very nice. I have a girlfriend from Okinawa and there were things even she learned from it. Definitely a good experience.

Not worth your time. Sorry but the place is not well kept and has very little historical or touristic value. The place has a very nice entrance facade. Beyond this, the park has a few boring historical displays and not much else. Poor landscaping - overgrown too.

All the lanterns are lit up at night and this makes for fun photos and creates a great ambiance. Didn't try the restaurants as they all seemed empty.

Our visit to MurasakiMura was during the evening to witness the beautiful lit lanterns. I cannot compare the experience to one during the day as we have not visited during the day; however, the evening visit during this time of year was well worth it. Our visit was with friends and all of our kids ranging from 8-14 years old.... More

My husband and I went here in the evening to enjoy the nightly lighting display for Christmas and New Year. It was beautiful in the evening. I felt like I was walking through a small town with beautiful lights everywhere. I know this place is not real but it sure looked real in the evening. The night we were there,... More

There are many DIY experience from Murasakimura, like making noodles, Shisa painting, glass making, etc. Good for kids to experience many kinds of activities.

Families can spend the entire day learning trades and crafts within the village. If crafts aren't of interest, then the butterfly garden, horse stables, and banana forest might be fun as well. For lunch, enjoy the amazing Okinawa soba at the traditional Japanese restaurant on campus. Simply strolling through the maze of lanes is an enjoyable experience at Murasaki Mura.... More
