We stayed at Lake Toya for 2 nights which was just perfect. The promenade along the lake is a good starting point for a leisurely morning walk to admire and enjoy the serene lake without the crowd. Moreover, it is also along the way to the leisure boat pier. The1 hour leisure boat cruise is a must if you have... More

Visited this place in December where give me the white scenic view from the hotel I stayed. It was great relaxation and peaceful lake. Surrounding with mountains and some volcano are still active. You may walk along the lake to enjoy the scenic and creation of God.

I spent one night a Lake Toya and it was a nice, relaxing stay. There's not much to do but it's the place where you pause and look at the breathtaking view of the lake. We spent an hour walking along the walkway by the lake and soaked our feet in the foot onsen while looking at the view. There... More

The view of the lake really depends on the weather. We stayed at Kohantei in order to have a lake view. On the first day it was covered with fog due to the cold weather too. The second day was completely different, with clear view. The serenity of the lake is worth a visit.

This caldera lake showcases most of the attributes of top Japanese tourist destinations. The natural environment is stunning with access around the lake shore in the vicinity of the onsen paved and level. There are a range of shops in the town so it is possible to pop into the Family Mart and grab some sandwiches for a picnic lunch... More

The place is serene & we hv a lovely morning walk. We had wanted to camp there but was afraid can't take the cold. We could hv booked the cabins or chalets there & can catch the fireworks at night

Stopover at Lake Toya for a night when on the way to Hakodate. Reached in the evening and it was drizzling. The next day morning view was stunning with bright and clear weather. You might need some luck to capture a nice picture of the lake. During summer and autumn, there will be fireworks display at night. Worth to pay... More

A pretty caldera lake with islands in the middle. Take the ferry ride into the lake for a better view. It's kind of a scene, mostly Japanese tourists.

We walked around part of the lake and found an exotic beautiful little island. Be careful of the roads from sapporo to lake Toya, there're speeding cameras around.
