The Hodo San shrine at Nagatoro is located at a walking distance of about 15 minutes from the Nagatoro station on the Chichibu Railways. It is wonderfully located with lush green surroundings and at the base of mountain. The locality is picturesque and calm.

Hodosan shrine is located near the Nagatoro station. Along the way to the shrine has a good view. This place was so peaceful. The Torii is in front of the shrine.The shrine itself has colorful. I spent about an hour there.

If you're going to the top of Hodosan to take in the blooming wintersweet and plum trees, by all means stop at this picturesque shrine, where you can buy a fortune in the shape of a miniature fan, along with seasonal local edibles.
