Beautiful view from there, the walk until there was also very pleasant and there's a parking lot nearby.

Easily reached by car via Tokyo bay aqua line and toll road up the mountain for 1000 jpy per car. Free parking at the top makes this the better choice than the rope way (500 jpy per person one way).

With only a few days' opportunity we headed off in spite of heavy mist and drizzle. No view for us but the mist lent a mystical air and the walk to the lookout was worth it.

To get there from Tokyo it will take you about 2,5 hours. (by train, bus or Ferry) but its worth it. The view is amazing. You will need to pay another 600 Yen to get in this area (you also have to pay 1300 yen for the cable cart) but its money well spend. Not crowded with tourist. so you... More

We took the cable car up the mountain top and did not really expect to hike so far to see the Buddha. After about 20 mins hike to see the first statute and to the viewing point, we decided to take the hundreds steps to the Buddha. It was worth it although it was really hot.

It's one of the most popular mountains in Chiba prefecture. Especially, the cliff called "地獄覗き Zigoku Nozoki (Look over the hell)" is pretty famous among Japanese tourists. I visited here on weekday, but there was a long line to the cliff. You can find many types of Buddha statue. "磨崖仏 Magaibutsu (Big Buddha statue carved on a rock face)" is... More

It is a 2.5 hour trip from downtown Tokyo via Chiba Station. I'd recommend spending 4 hours at Nokogiri including a break for lunch - pack your own or pick one up at a convenience store on the way as there aren't any food places in the Mountain except at the Ropeway Station. Also, as you'd expect, vending machines charge... More

Lots and lots of stairs!! If you cannot walk don't go. Beautiful views, amazing experience. You can have access by train and ferry. Snacks and drinks available but not all over.
