I took my age 4 son here on a train excursion along the Sagami line. While my son couldn't appreciate it, this shrine is very unique in it's numerous walking paths and it's proximity to the Sagami river. Quite isolated but the cafe and souvenir shop in front is good for a breather.

Samukawa Shrine is located near the Miyayama station,the JR Sagami line. This shrine is famous of protecting from accidents. I enjoyed seeing "Noh or Kyogen" on summer evening. It was a great experience.

This is the one of the oldest shrine in Japan. Many Japanese people come here in the New Year to be given the invocation by the priest. So, it would be better not to go there in January.
