A bit of a walk out from Murodo Station, but totally worth it if its a good day. but it can be VERY windy and become cloudy/rainy very quickly.

Part of Mundoro sort walking distance from the Mudoro station. There is a loop around the lake for good scenic view. Proper shoes and warm gear necessary as it can get pretty cold around Murodo. Visited in Autumn Oct 2016

When we walked to the Japanese guest house, we saw this pond. Although it was covered by snow, it was beautiful! We could see the water was blue. We also saw thunder bird nearby. What a surprise!

Timing with snow will prefect the view. We saw little snow in Nov, but the walk is not easy ie not flat walking roads leading to the pond. But it's still windy and cold as its near to the alps height. The location need time...More

Beautiful lake by the Murodo stop. You can see images of the mountains on the lake which makes a nice photo shoot. Remember to wear layers and be adequately dressed as it will be cold at Murodo and at the lake.
