Take the bus from the main Fukui train station. Self-guided tour through the temple. Serene wooded grounds. Well maintained buildings. Once in a while you see a monk scurrying about. Strick about their privacy and no photo policy. Lots of tourist shops. Try the sesame...More

Historical and well maintained temple that represents Fukui prefecture. I visited when there were turning leaves and it was very quiet, calm and relaxing to walk around.
