Interesting use of art and space together. A bit pricey for the amount of art on display - you can see the entire museum in 10 minutes without rushing. It's about $1 per minute! Still, I'd definitely visit if you've come this far. The amount...More

I'm sorry to say this museum is very underwhelming compared to the other sights on Naoshima like the Chichu Art Museum. We were left with a definite 'is that it?' kind of feeling. Although the information leaflets make this sound like it has many outdoor...More

Modern art here rather underinspiring. Not memorable! One lovely exhibit was a video of the rainforest in the shadow of a stone - difficult to describe!

A stunning modern grotto in a small valley, beautiful setting, wonderful art in a series of concrete chambers. Sublime.

The centre of this museum is the arhitecture underlyining the installations. The museum as a good start in the art world of Naoshima.

The entire art island is sublime. However the Lee Ufan galleries take the prize. His work is subtle and sublime. The site specific Ando building to house the work is breathtaking. I left in awe. Can’t recommend this enough!!

There are some brilliant pieces of art, generally also due to how the space in the Ando designed museum is used. There are also some pieces of artwork that my husband found hilarious and there is now a lot of talk about how easy it...More
