You must do this. Don't plan anything else for at least half a day. Catch the train to Kidonanzion-Mae from Hakata station and 30 minutes of so later and a short walk of 5-10 minutes to the site and you are transfixed by the peace...More

I think you can still go there earlier. You can still roam around the area, I think. Its never a problem, if waiting is not an issue to you.
