A special experience

Many people are staying inside the holes and wait for the photo. This is a natural amazing place. However. Be prepare that you need to walk a lot before you see it.

I spoke with some friends of mine who speak the language fluently. They told me the heart increases tourism. The original shape, which had a more oval top didn't look like a heart except at the bottom where the point is. The hole in the stump contained rotted wood, and rotting wood falling on the heads and faces of tourists... More

An amazing enormous stump but which can only be reached after a good hike. Not everyone might enjoy the hike as much as I did. If you reach the stump, it is worth continuing to Jomon-Sugi!

Before arriving there, I wasn't expecting too much, just a tree stump, but I was impressed with the size of it. Going inside, you really feel the size of the tree, and this is not the biggest tree in the area. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a photo inside the stump.

There was a stump of an old cedar during a path to Jomon cedar. People found the place to be able to take heart shape photos inside the stump. The place was opposite to the small shrine. People really enjoyed searching place and shooting heart shaped view.

I thought it will be some cheesy sight seeing spot wear couples took photos of heart shaped stump. But it's way more than that. You can feel the gravity of the forest there. Spend a little while longer inside the stump than just trying to taking the photo with the perfect heart, (which is actually more difficult than you thought,... More

I didn't know much about Wilson Stump before I got there, so I was truly surprised when I stopped there. The stump is huge and the interior of it seems to be enchanted.

It is tourist place on the way to Jomon cedar tree. It is also rest area. People are on queue to take photo of the natural heart inside the stump.

I guess this is the sort of place to visit with your better-half for the romantic picture of the heart shaped image in the background. Upon advice of our guide we visited on the return portion of our trip to Jomonsugi and had the area to ourselves. Rest at this point on the way up, and take photos on the... More
