Stayed for five days in Aharen. Very clean and soft sand. Can be crowded on some days. Lots of activities available, and a few restaurants close by. Worth a visit if you are staying in Tokashiki port.

Aharen beach has a bit more rides and activity but it is still how I imagined Hawaii or Thailand between it was developed

I went to ticketing office the day before to fill out a form to reserve seats. I tried to book online but was unsuccessful. It found that strange as I was able to book tickets to go to Zamami island and the ferry company appeared...More

If you want to go where all the tourists are bussed in this is it. It has soft sand, showers-lockers you pay for and bathrooms. You can pretty much rent or buy anything you need.

The Yellow Submarine based at Araren Beach was a excellent tour and we saw sea turtles ad a multitude of fish, seaweed beds and coral.

Turquoise coloured water and a white sandy beach. Aharen. A beautiful beach on a Tokashiki Jima. If you come out of season you might have it all to your self. What could possible be better? It is so quiet and clean. Fantastic place.

Aharen Beach is the place to go. Uncluttered. Minimal crowd. Great lookout area on the far right side of the beach. Worth the day spent sunning and swimming.

After Zamami island beach I was disappointed because of too much dead coral. Yet there are some live corals that you can see fish. The bus takes you all the way to the beach non stop and at the bus terminus, shower/restroom facilities are available....More

A beautiful beach with crystal clear waters that isn’t as crowded as I’d feared it’ll be. There are many corals and fishes here, though I wouldn’t say it’s spectacular and colourful.. having witnessed real vibrancy way before the unfortunate global bleaching of the world’s corals...More

I guess you can't, but there is a camp site next to the beach. It's a public one but you need to pay and less facilities like cold shower. But one special, if you stay there your tent will be a closer accommodation than any... More
