It's an interesting attraction. From what I gather, this formation was caused by the shifting of the land. As mentioned in the other reviews, if venturing beyond the parking lot, proper footwear is recommended. The rocks are very weathered and sharp at times. Spectacular coastline views all around Mifuga. The rocks that created the site are quite large and run along much of the Northern part of the island. This site is just down the street from some castle ruins, and a road that veers off to the West/right (not back towards the main road) is well worth your time. Driving around Mifuga... More

Mifuga is a special setting of Kumejima Islands. Walking around and seeing the different shapes of the Water and sea is a marvellous Experience. A curiosity of the Island while touring the spots. Zabojad was delighted and appreciated this 30 minutes on site. Happy Sharing-Happy Inside

Mifuga cave is actually no cave, but a rock formation with a hole in the middle. The shore around is nice to walk around, but as all Kumejima, you need to be careful where you step, as there are rocks, sand, plants, etc. There is a large parking nearby.
