Down at the coastline of Scilla you have narrow lovely streets by the side of the water. There is prominence with the harbour and castle; and then a beach with the usual attractions. Lovely little town. And the views from Chianalea are wonderful looking over to Sicily.

Small and even smaller streets. In this romantic city center you can easily browse hour. It is best to arrive in the evening after dark, when the lights instead. Rather night do not go to dark small streets to the sea, frighten cockroaches and cockroaches scare you :-) There are lots of good restaurants.

Lovely historical citadel at the end of Italian peninsula. Before discovering the beauty of Sicily, stop here and enjoy some days.

The church is located just behind the castle and is open at no cost. If you are visiting the castle, you might as well take in the church as well. It is pretty inside with a more modern painting of Jesus and a mosiac of St. Rocco behind the altar.

Yesterday night was the first time I visited Chianalea. This is a little small village completely on the sea. The little narrow streets lead you to many corners from where you can see a gorgeous view of is magnificent place facing the sea. The small buildings were all renovated and the lights on the streets created an atmosphere which was... More

This little town is very pittoresque. The narrow streets to the sea .. Never seen before. A hidden gem. Difficult to find parking place.

If you feel like exploring something slightly off the major touristic routes, go for Scilla - a truly authentic southern Italian experience, whose beauty can be easily compared to more famous places such as Portofino or the Amalfi coast. Enjoy a walk in Chianalea, the old part fo the town, where the houses are built literally on the crystal blue... More
