Of our four winery appointments in Uruguay, Juanico was the one that we were most looking forward to visiting. It has a storied history and the place is beautiful. Those were the hits. The misses. Our tour contained more than 10 people (at two of the other wineries, we were the only ones on our tour and at the third,... More

The tour of this winery, was one of our highlights (we visited about 15 in Chile and Uruguay). What made it so special was the trip into the private cellar where we got to pick a very old bottle of wine to taste. My husband was so thrilled and he loved the wines and the ambiance! If you are a... More

Visiting Juanico Winery is a great experience for those who like great wines. Juanico wines with its brand "Don Pascual", has won many international prices. And one must try "Preludio" wine, the best quality of Uruguay wine! One can have lunch at the cave or in the case of groups, enjoy lunch at the winery and taste different wines, together... More

When we get there, we just take a look in the cava and choose a bottle of wine to have lunch. During the lunch we could taste some red and white wine. The food is awesome!!! After that we visit the vineyard

We took an excursion from our Oceania Cruise ship to this winery, After the tour of the grapevines, we visited the winery and then a very filling and delicious lunch (with salads, vegetables, beef, chicken, pork, and sweetbread) where we sampled 4 wines and one port - all were excellent. Our local English speaking winery tour guide provided knowledgeable winery... More

A winery really close to Montevideo that produces some quality wines. We did the tour and the lunch menu. Both wine, food and the visit were great. The employee who accompanied us the visit was very attentive and helpful. Extra tip: the price of wines here are unbeatable!

The drive from downtown Montevideo took almost 45 minutes, but it gave us the opportunity to see the countryside outside the city. Our group (three bus loads) was warmly greeted by a guide who rode with us in our tour bus to the back of the vineyard property, describing what we would see once we arrived. (Very nice guide but...
