A special place run by special people.

Not just Guadeloupe. A trip throughout the Caribbean and explanation of how the cultures interacted as told through artifacts and dioramas. Worth the trip.

You may have noticed reviews of another place with a similar name. It is the same place. It is an excellent museum both of the inhabitants of Guadeloupe before Columbus and of the profession of archeology. Parking is easy and admission is free. Exhibit descriptions are in French and English.

Please not the information on this attraction is incorrect. The Edgar Clerc museum is in le Moule NOT PAP. The photo is of the Victor Schoelcher museum in PAP. The reviews appear to be for the Edgar Clerc museum though. What a mess!

I love this place with its views out to see and beautiful rolling green gardens. The whole setting as well as the museum is perfect for a family outing, a wonderful place for children to roam. Used for school visits. The exhibitions are very informative. The whole experience is free. Definitely worth a visit. Though check opening times as it... More

Want to something about pre-Columbian Guadeloupe? Well, then this is the place. Small but well worth the visit when in the surroundings, and the only venue of its kind on the twin islands.

If you want to look deeply into the history of the island it is of interest. Furthermore, you are close to the city of la Moule. At first glance it doesn't seem to offer much but it has remained untouched by destruction due to war and weather and tourism has only permeated its outskirts. It is an authentic Caribbean town.
