Marcoola beach is so quiet even in peak times. It's not as sheltered as the main beaches so exercise caution or swim between the flags. Dogs are welcome and we've been told they are okay off-Leash if in the water and we have a leash with us when they get out. Everyone picks up after their dog and there are... More

Surf quite rough so exercise caution. Take notice of the flags and don't go out too far. Big breakers and dangerous rip.

Marcoola Beach is beautiful, with a wide sand strip. We stayed near the Surf Lifesavers as the tide was quite strong on the day we visited.

Great weekend on the beach though not much good for asurf on this particular weekend. Well lucky Ralph to go to the street markets right in front of the main beach very popular with a wide range of foods from around the world

Great beach with very few people all year round. Great for watching whales swim past, dolphins playing and waiting for the turtle nests to hatch.

A popular local beach, long sandy beach and good for families for walking and also for pets providing dog is on a leash , perhaps less so for swimming with the conditions. It is a patrolled beach with a radio room. Close to the surf club several cafes just over the road.

An absolutely beautiful beach!! It's excellent for walking or an early morning jog. Take a bag for the beautiful shells you'll find along the way. The life savers are out early and patrol along the beach. There is easy access near the Surf Club and at various points along the kilometres of beach. However the natural formations of the underwater... More

The beach was so lovely to walk along. It isnt very busy probably due to the airport being near by, but the beach is monitored by life guards who are on the sand to support you. We didnt get to swim as it was way too choppy for our liking but it was worth the walk to a stunning beach.
