The setting of this beach is beautiful, and one can see a wonderful sun set from here. The water is nice a clear, although the sand is a bit rocky it is a pleasent place to swim. There are also plenty of activity options.

The beach does not live up to its name. We visited for three hours. Sun loungers in the shade cost $5,000. The beach is pretty average. It was busy, but we went during semana santa. I would recommend trying out playa blanca instead.

Nothing special and full of people and restaurants. So if you are looking for more relax time continue walking by the ocean cliff another 10 to 20 minutes so find more quiet spots.

Better than the beach in Taganga, but still a bit dirty. A lot of people, and noise! My shoes was stolen right in front of my nose, and I had to walk the way back without them. Go to tyrona instead

Take a fisherman boat for about 5000 pesos to this beach. Once there, you can rent a chair and enjoy a pretty clean beach. There are plenty of vendors for snacks and lunch.

We went here for one day as we're staying in Taganga. We got a boat round for 7000 each which wasn't too bad. The only seats on the beach are deck chairs which were 6000 for the day but that still isn't bad. The beach was nice and clean and the water is nice and calm and pretty clear. Lots... More

Lovely beach, on Sunday afternoon it was mayhem. Lots of families and people doing watersports and jetskis. And very dirty with plastics (@municipality: place more carbage bins and educate kids how to keep your Beaches clean). Overall a nice local experience.

Playa grande is ok. It's a cool experience to take the boat ride to the beach. The food was expensive. You must rent chairs and people are trying to sell you something constantly. The view is nice and the water is pretty.

I loved Playa Grande.....you can access it by taking a local blue bus that you can access from almost anywhere along the main street for less than $US 75 cents to Taganga......and then hop on a boat for 6,000 Colombian Pesos for a 5 minute or less roundtrip ride to the beach passing schools of jumping fish. The water is... More

The beach is a bit crowded with lots of people trying to sell stuff to the gringos but in spite of this, I had a lovely relaxing day there. Having said that, if you are looking for an isolated paradise this is not your spot. It's reputation as a hippie Mecca is completely unwarranted. Lots of kids and families Beautiful,... More
