The island is overcrowded and overpriced, a typical tourist trap. You have to pay as soon as you put your foot on the island (10 Baht, not a lot, but still). The view and the island itself could be nice, but all is ruined by the massive amount of people and by the crappy infrastructure. To not mention the toilets: paid 20 Baht and all of them were not usable for the amount of s**t inside. Forget about clean stuff. My advice: don't go there (and don't go to Thailand in general, not worth it).

Beach full of speedboats, hardly anywhere to swim. Nothing to see. This is a tourist trap and I really don’t recommend. I would not go again

These guys cut your time in half, do not book jet ski. Paid for 20 minutes and after 10 minutes they told us to return. The beach is nice but crowded with all the tours. Tour was good and worth the money, just don't pay for anything else as it's all overpriced.

This is a typical day trip from either Phuket or Ko Yao Yai. A few things that visitors should know. You cannot step foot on the island without paying a visitor fee. Chairs must be rented and drinks are a bit higher priced than other locations around Thailand. If you just really want a change of scenery, this is a fine trip to take. But, most visitors can probably enjoy a lovely day at the beach without the expense of a boat ride.

Nice little beach area with lots of coral, shells and rocks if you're a fan and collector. I would recommend water shoes or flip flops as you walk around because the sea floor is VERY rocky/jagged because of all the coral, shells, etc. I didn't realize it but I got a small cut on the edge of my left heel. I got a foot massage the next day and the massage therapist informed me of it and treated it. It was definitely from this beach. Our tour guide took us to the beach before it got super crowded, so my group and I had a very relaxing, mellow experience. But yeah, biggest downer for me was how painful it was w walking on those rocks. Bar drinks offered were very delicious as well.

Did a tour of the Khai islands - they saved this till the last! Worst one! Full on tourist trap - everything has a price and not cheap. No real snorkelling spots in this island either. One of the other khai islands is much better for snorkelling. This one also charges 10bahrs each person for landing in this island but your tour company will charge you 20.. your tour operator/boat also take commission for everything their tourists buy in island.
Lots of tourist boats bringing people for an hour - bit peaceful or scenic.
Toilets awful - no sink or flush but 20bahts for the experience.
Lots of hawkers trying to sell you fruit drinks, food or water sports.
There are much better islands. This last stop in our khai islands tour was a spoiler ..
above was agreed by everyone on our boat - about 30 of us - this last stop on our khai islands tour was a tourist trap. Someone told us their drinks had no rum in them but staff on island brought their bill just before about to leave forcing them to pay or miss their boat out!!

Not as many cats as it claims. Just a very small island and can get very crowded when many tour groups arrive at the same time. Not much water activities also.

If you are not there for the bars or overpriced food and drinks and just after an island in the middle of the Andaman sea to swim and relax, then this is the place. Only 20 mins by speedboat from Phuket town, the warm water and sand was so relaxing given the place was largely deserted. Lots of shack type bars if that's your thing but we preferred to snorkel straight off the calm waters of the beach. Lots of cats and some noisy roosters but nothing that was a bother. Only issue, not enough bins for the rubbish coming with the day trippers and a charge of 20 baht to use the bathroom.
You will have to jump from the boat into the water to arrive but you're going to get wet anyway so don't stress.

Don’t book a boat tour that drops you off here. It’s a tourist trap where drinks and food are overpriced. People will follow you around to sell you things. Many sick cats in need of vet care are part of the tourist attraction. My boat tour abandoned us on the island for two hours, and it was incredibly depressing to be there.

So…
This is a small island in the middle of nowhere in the ocean! But reggae’s been around since god knows when and how you spend your days here without something special…
Well, I just don’t know! 🤪😉
