Beautiful. A mini Pahalgam. Or Khajjiar. Green valley surrounded by tall trees, clear blue sky, lake in the centre. Trampoline and slides for the kids. Horse riding and Ziplines. A fairly good picnic / outing spot. A Big MINUS is lack of lunch options. So carry some snacks. But a must visit if u r in Patnitop.

Road is in poor condition primarily because it's in use only for the few summer months and gets closed off during winter snowfall. Best to hire a car or driver. Route to the lake as well as the location of the lake is scenic. Boating is also done though we didn't get it due to rains. We did a horse... More

One of the very good places to visit in Patnitop, You can book a cab to go there, its 20 minutes drive away from Nathatop. Top highlights are 1. A lake which bouces back your voice 2. Horse riding 3. Nag temple inside 4. Apple trees 5. Paragliding

You ned to go on horseback or trek it down to the Sanasar lake. They guides say it will take approx 2 hours for going down and returning up. Since we didnt have time, we just walked down a few steps near the garden area to catch a view of the lake from above. So if you dont have much... More

This place is located at comparatively much lower altitude from Nathatop and you will find humidity here, lake is not well maintained, one can visit of old temple of lord Shiva and a beautiful lush green ground, in all a worth visiting place. If you are not keen to walk around you can also hire pony available there.

Sanasar lake is part of the famous cup shaped meadows with JKTDC Cottages ( called as Huts) along the periphery & dense Pine & Chinar trees with snow capped mountains in background. A Picture postcard canvass. During peak season, boating & Paragliding is conducted. A good 20 Kms away from Patnitop ( On way Natha Top to give feel of... More

This place comes after Nathatop in a remote village. I preferred pony ride. The view around the lake is breathtaking. You get to see the rarest and ancient Nag temple. I visited in winter and was very calm with few visitors. I think it's crowded during summer.

This place is like a hidden gem in Patnitop. Most taxi drivers will just about take you to nag temple and natha top while visiting patnitop. However i insisted the driver to take us here and there i was standing in front of this beautiful sanasar Lake. We chose to tour this place on a horse. It was winter and kinda of... More
