Worth visiting in monsoon only

A nice place for a day visit only, especially in monsoon season when one can see the falls in its full strength. The maintanence of the area though requires more attention.

I have visited once but never to come back as i felt so nice there..but ya its a bit risky too as down there to the point where you'll get natural shower, the big stones are slippery. So need to be careful always.

The drive to Jog Falls was pleasant. Though the falls was not in all its grandeur it was a pleasant experience. There is a walkway that leads down to the falls, it closes at 4 in the evening, so be sure ti try and visit the falls early to get up close and personal with the highest falls in India.

One of the best sites to visit in rains. The fog, the waterfall and the weather at jog is worth a sight. The facility at the site is decent but plan to stay in Shimoga or Sagar. There are many options for home stay too.

My wife and me visited Jog falls this Oct, we used the staircase to reach the bottom of the cliffs and then climbed back up. The steps were is good shape for most part, due to rains some of them will be slippery so watch out. Not advisable to do this is you have to carry kids.

A very beautiful water falls amidst deep valley, the sight from the distant view point is fantastic. There are three separate falls from a height. There are steps made to reach close to water falls. A series of stone steps have been made by authorities for tourists to sit and enjoy the view. Ample parking is available and walkways are... More

This is a fantastic panoramic falls. Of course, one would see its full splendour during monsoon. However there is always some water. It has four units - Raja, Rani, Rocket & Rover. The sight is amazing. Many home stays are available.
