We were first taken to see the falls from the PWD Guest House side which gives a closer view of the falls. Then we went to the main view points. The water was not in full force but sufficient to enjoy the view. For photography it is better to visit the falls around 10 am when the sun is facing... More

During my visit water was very less, but view itself is breath taking. August month is the best season to visit when dam is open. Views from both sides of the falls were so great and the visuals of water falling from such height is worth a visit.

We planned the trip at the last moment. After visiting Dudsagar Falls, we reached the nearby village Mavinagundi near to Jog Falls. Don't go too down on the steps or near to the falls. The steps are slippery. Also, people there might tell you to go and get top view. Please don't do that. Its highly dangerous. No need to all those stunts. You can have very nice front view without going down or other side. Just have that. Thank you.

Visited during last week of december 2016. We visited as it was on our way during our trip. The roads leading to the falls were awesome. There was hardly any water in the falls. Best time would be during monsoon.
