This small historic church in a once-tranquil village is a victim of its own fame. Now the place is inundated with Chinese tourists who arrive in 4WDs and spend half an hour taking photos and sampling some of the locally made wine, before departing again....More

Strange to find a catholic church in the middle of rural China. Visited on Christmas day and the locals were having a 24 hour party, they were kind, generous and lots of fun.

Cizhong village is lived by Naxi, Tibetan, Yi and Some Han people, some the believe in Tibetan Buddhism, some in local religion and others go to catholic church. The power structure of the village also interested me...
