Visited Tower Knowe Visitor Centre last week during a holiday in Northumberland for a walk and some refreshments and the staff in the restaurant/cafe here were really nice, helpful and kind.

Beautiful part of the country, Kielder water is huge. Lots to do, if we had know what times the boat tour operated we would have been on it - maybe next time.

Hi, it's very difficult to get to without your own transport - are you able to hire a car? If you're a keen cyclist you could cycle from the train station in Hexham/Haydon Bridge, I think. Hope this helps. It's such a remote... More

Hi Peter, answers as above but I would add that a lot of the road becomes more of a track at times so it can be quite entertaining negotiating it. But worth it and certainly worth stopping along the way for walks etc. We... More

It has footpaths all round, gets quite muddy & is hilly in places, but yes an all terrain buggy would be fine!
