- Better than most of the other temples and caves in Mahabalipuram - Great location - Recommended to visit in winters (December to February)

Avoid a pushy tour guide (who will hound you from the minute you leave your car) by reading up on the history before you arrive. The shore temple has a nice breeze and some shade early in the morning nearby. The sea views and sights...More

It was really hot when we went and there isn’t enough signage to let you know what it was before and how it changed during the tsunami. Very pretty to look at though

This was the last of the Mahabalipuram temples we visited. It’s position, the row of cow carvings leading to the main Sea Shore temple, the artistry on the walls was really worth visiting.

This temple is located right by the sea and is visiting. The ticket from the first temple was also valid d here. Like the others in this area this temple is not very large and you will need about 30 minutes here.

I think this temple stands out from the others in the area mainly because of it's seafront location Otherwise - yes, it's nice to see, but it didn't stand out specially for me.

As well as the temple, we went down to shore and this was packed with worshippers, all in red, many of whom wanted their photos taken with us. We met many lovely people.
