Visited in April during sakura season and the aerial tram and boat ride were my only options to see Mount Fuji, as all roads were closed due to potential avalanche dangers. Stopping by the Fujiyama Cookie store on the walk the way down was a...More

Depending on the weather and if clouds are not covering the peak of Mt Fuji, the location is just average but still a good place to visit if you want to view Lake Kawaguchiko and Mt Fuji at the same time. Early spring or late...More

A great tip is to buy the tickets at the Ropeway. Matcha Soft Serve tasted great. Fried Chicken was so good it was sold out!! We stayed for a few hours to wait for the clouds to clear. While waiting we bought 100 Yen plate...More

Short cable car ride to the viewing point - lovely views of the mount fuji landscape! You can get off and spend some time at the top. Was a little bit of a queue to get back down in the cable car but apart from...More

Long queue and then forced to squeeze in much too crowded to make it a pleasant experience. View from the top is OK but a similar view can be seen from many other spots for free.

Short 15 minute walk from station. Great location to veiw the lake and for me more importantly Fuji. Not crowed when we were there, but signs at the attraction suggest long lines during the high season. We were disappointed with the cruise and in retrospect...More

Bundled the price with the ferry and came out at 1400 yen, not too bad and a great view of Fuji and the Lake from above. Another trek is available from the top as well.

Good way to get some great views and photos. There are also quite a few walking tracks to explore. Pretty cheap way to see everything.

A name change from Kachikachi Ropeway is probably a shrewd move (though the romance of folk stories is more to my liking) for this viewing point - definitely one of the best in the area. The cable car to the top is crammed to slightly...More

You may want to google Shizuoka and check the cloud cover percentage. However the weather is erratic so my suggestion is to check a few days before going.

The Cable Car ride is Approximately 5-10min until the station. You can still hike up if you wanted to but it would take hours to get to the peak.

Sadly you can only buy it in Kawaguchiko station. I would recommend buying it at the Ropeway to avoid the 1 hr queue
