Perhaps one of the most neglected structures in Japan. If you get a view with no clouds it’s pretty nice else a big waste of time and effort. Small shrine st the top but not worth the journey. Quite lame actually.

It's a really good way to enjoy Mt. Fuji views. The Ropeway trip is fast and the place at the top is picturesque. It was a nice trip with beautiful views on the way.

Worth it, would recommend this to tourist who are going to Kawagochiku. It is also an entry point for a 6 hour walking trail to another mountain.

We took the Ropeway up - but walked the trail back down. Awesome views at the top of the Ropeway - but also at various sights along the walking trail back down; highly recommend this combination.

Enjoying the panoramic view of Mt Fuji from Mt Kachikachi during Winter in January. You can view the beautiful Lake Kawaguchiko. It was clear sight, luckily there's no clouds. But extremely freezing. From Kawaguchiko Station, by walk only takes 15 minutes. Easy to find the...More

I was hesitant to go to the Lake Kawaguchiko/ Mt. Fuji area as the weather was forecast to be cloudy. I had been to the Gotemba area three weeks ago and it was cloudy and rainy. Today, though, it was cloudy but Mount Fuji was...More

The ropeway is a nice ride but not worth it in summer since Mt Fuji will invariably be behind the clouds

The staff’s attitude was horrible. They literally yelled at the client without using “please” or “thank you”. It’s unbelievable that they treat people that way in Japan or in any country. It’s really the worst experience I had in Japan.

Unfortunately, the weather was not good when I visited this place. I couldn’t see the whole Mt. Fuji. The place Seems not big enough to handle crowded people.

You may want to google Shizuoka and check the cloud cover percentage. However the weather is erratic so my suggestion is to check a few days before going.

The Cable Car ride is Approximately 5-10min until the station. You can still hike up if you wanted to but it would take hours to get to the peak.

Sadly you can only buy it in Kawaguchiko station. I would recommend buying it at the Ropeway to avoid the 1 hr queue
