10 March to 29 October- Daily - 10am to 6pm. History comes to life at Mont Orgueil Castle, which for over 600 years protected Jersey against French invasion. Explore the network of staircases, towers and secret rooms to discover hidden treasures. Every time you visit you'll discover a staircase you've not seen before opening up into a room where you'll find something new. Discover Hidden artwork commissioned to tell the story of the castle; Climb the turrets to find the medieval ‘wheel', and descend into the cellar to experience the exhibit. Life-size wooden soldiers guard the castle from attack and 'the wounded man' statue shows the fate that could befall those fighting to save the castle from invasion.

It was a cool, windy day so I wish I'd worn warmer clothes but other than that I loved it from beginning to end. I struggled with the map but it meant that we just wandered around at times, discovering things for ourselves. It was...More

This attractions requires much climbing once inside the castle and care should be taken on some of the stairs. Give yourselves enough time to get round this castle as there are many corners to explore. Lovely views of Gorey Bay and the French Coast can...More

The view from the top takes your breath away. Not really into History but found this very interesting. Lots of steep stairs to climb but well worth it.

The castle looks and is stunning. The signage in the castle is very poor. It is not suitable for people with a disability. It has tricky steps to encounter. The entrance price is very expenses considering what you get for your money. We were greeted...More

Like all old castles, this has some very steep climbs on stone steps. Views from the top are stunning, looking across Gorey Harbour towards France. A small souvenier and drinks shop is with-in the Castle Walls

The experience begins as you approach along the coast as the castle looks majestic on a high piece of Rockland overlooking the sea. One in the castle is mainly intact over many levels and plenty of displays. The view from the topics fantastic.

A great place to visit with plenty to keep the whole family interested especially if you go on one of their activity days. Be warned there are a lot of steps to climb so it will be hard work for some.

Yes you would be able to get to the castle and have some access walking on the main gravel paths and some uneven stone foot paths. The castle is on a hill and some of the paths are quite steep. Beyond the main paths it can... More

Mount Orguel is definitely best as there are many rooms to explore and the views are great.Quite a few staircases so not so assessable for those with walking difficulties. The village of Gorey is worth exploring.

Leave at least two hours, but there is lots to discover so the more time the better.
